N.C. Lottery Weekly Winner Wrap-Up: Four Instant Scratch-Off Wins, Two Cash 5 Jackpots Top Best of Week

Dec. 22, 2014. This week’s biggest wins came from four instant scratch-off tickets and two Carolina Cash 5 jackpots. In all, from Dec. 12 – 18, players of instant scratch-off games won $22.3 million and draw game players added $5.6 million more for a total of more than $27.9 million statewide.

The largest win of the week went to Henry Smith of Rutherfordton, who scratched off the $4 million prize in the $200 Million Blowout game. He said that his prize money will make it possible for him to pay off all of his bills including his mortgage, make home improvements and take a vacation. {Read More}

Linda Hammock, an addiction counselor from Chapel Hill, is the latest player to win $1 million playing the $120 Million Cash game. {Read More}

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $125 million if taken as an annuity or $80.4 million if taken as a lump sum. In the Dec. 12 Mega Millions drawing, 34,256 tickets won prizes ranging from $1 to $2,500, totaling $102,535. In Tuesday’s drawing, 28,229 tickets won $84,549 in prizes ranging from $1 to $2,500.

Powerball Report
Saturday’s Powerball players have the chance to win an estimated $90 million jackpot if taken as an annuity or $58.2 million if taken as a lump sum. In the Dec. 13 Powerball drawing, 11,609 tickets won prizes ranging from $4 to $300, totaling $86,724. Wednesday’s drawing produced 10,528 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $300, totaling $80,693.

Players won $12,371 in the Dec. 12 MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ drawing. Friday’s Top Prize is a $25 million annuity, worth $15.8 million cash. If the Top Prize is won tonight, 20 more players across the country will win a $1 million MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB prize.

All or Nothing Report
Players in the All or Nothing game collected $583,387 in prizes this week, including 31 prizes of $500. Drawings occur every day at approximately 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $2 for a chance to win a Top Prize of $250,000.

A lucky ticket in the Dec. 12 evening drawing matched none of the numbers drawn and is worth $250,000. The ticket was sold at the Kangaroo Express on Jefferson Davis Highway in Sanford in Lee County. The winner has 180 days to come to lottery headquarters in Raleigh to collect the prize money.
