N.C. Lottery: Players Can Multiply Winnings Up To 50x With Return of Popular ‘X the Cash’ Games

Feb. 2, 2015. A family of popular multiplier-themed instant games returning to stores Tuesday give North Carolinians five chances to win $1 million and the opportunity to enter monthly drawings for up to $50,000.

50X The Cash is a $10 game featuring five top prizes of $1 million and more than $46.9 million in total prizes. To win a prize, players match any of 15 numbers to one of six winning numbers. Players who reveal a “50X” symbol win 50 times the prize shown instantly.

20X The Cash, a $5 game, begins with six top prizes of $200,000 and more than $24.8 million in total prizes. Players can multiply their prizes by revealing a “2X”, “5X” or “20X” symbol.

10X The Cash is a $2 game that launches with eight $50,000 top prizes and more than $9.9 million in total prizes. Players can multiply their winnings by revealing a “2X” or a “10X” symbol.

Rounding out the games is the $1 game, 5X The Cash, which begins with 10 top prizes of $10,000 and more than 1.9 million winning tickets. Revealing a “5X” symbol wins five times the prize amount shown.

Beginning Tuesday, players can enter their tickets from the “X The Cash” family into the lottery’s Lucke-Zone website for chances to win a monthly second-chance drawing. Each month, 10 players will win $500 and one player will win $50,000. The drawings will continue until the end of the year for a total of 11 drawings and $605,000 in prizes. No additional purchase is required to enter the second-chance drawings.
