On Tuesday, Nov. 18, the Tillers come to The Jones House. On the other side of the Appalachian mountains, so many people moved to Cincinnati, that the city had a “Little Appalachia” neighborhood. Fiddlers, traveling blues musicians, and others from the Ohio River Valley brought their music to the city, and it bustled with musical traditions. The Tillers are the modern day bearers of the southern Ohio urban old-time string band tradition, and since releasing their debut album in 2008, they have been catching the ears of fans across the country.
