June 30, 2014. Nothing says summertime like live music, and the High Country has enough live music events to keep you tapping your toes all summer long. Each week, the Monday Music Mash-up is your go-to spot to find the latest news on concerts, shows and gigs all throughout the High Country. Check out the website every Monday for the latest lineup, and make a plan to enjoy some tunes this summer.
On Friday, July 4, the Jones House presents Fat Face Band and Liz Hayes & Common Threads beginning at 1 p.m. after the parade. The Jones House Community and Cultural Center presents a free outdoor concert every Friday night from June 6-Sept. 12. The Jones House is located at 604 West King St. in downtown Boone. On Friday, July 4, the Best Cellar in Blowing Rock will not hold a Friday night concert due to the holiday. The Best Cellar hosts a free outdoor concert each Friday night through the summer, and is located at 203 Sunset Dr. in Blowing Rock. For more information, call 828-295-9703.
On Tuesday, July 1, head out to the Bayou Smokehouse and Grill for the free Concerts in the Courtyard. Enjoy the music stylings of the Whip Daddys featuring Hope Harvey on vocals and a free wine tasting every single week! Featured wines are always 10 percent off with wine amnesty offered. This week, Chetola Resort presents live music at in the pub or the patio of Timberlake’s Restaurant. All concerts start at 6 p.m. This week’s lineup is as follows:

Valle Crucis Community Park will host Music in the Valle on Friday, July 1 featuring The Watauga Community Band. The concert will take place at Valle Crucis Community Park located at 2892 Broadstone Rd. in Valle Crucis starting at 7 p.m. For more information about this event, call 828-963-9239.

On Sunday, July 6, Canyons in Blowing Rock will host the weekly Sunday Jazz Brunch with Todd Wright. Starting at 11 a.m., the event will feature live jazz music at Canyons located at 8960 Valley Blvd. in Blowing Rock. For more information about this event, call 828-295-7661.
On Sunday, July 6 starting at 5 p.m., Beech Alpen Inn will host the weekly Alpen Inn Summer Concert.
