July 16, 2014. The Model T Fords are still in town. On Tuesday, the Model T Ford Club International, which is holding its annual tour in the High Country this year, visited Grandfather Mountain and parked in the meadows. Later in the day, these classic cars were spotted riding the dirt roads of Laurel Creek Road in Western Watauga.

On Sunday, the annual tour, which alternates between the West Coast, East Coast and middle of the country every year, began with a car show in downtown Boone. Then on Monday, they explored Ashe County. In the days ahead, they plan to visit Whippoorwill Village, Wilkesboro, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls and make their way back to Boone and Blowing Rock on Friday.

The tour ends on Friday, June 18.
