Nov. 15, 2013. If you haven’t yet purchased your tickets for Savion Glover’s STePz at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts Nov. 15, it’s not too late. Tickets are still available for purchase and you haven’t missed your chance to see the American tap master, according to the box office at the Schaefer Center.

“We still have tickets available, but we are expecting a very full house,” said Megan Stage manager of marketing for the Schaefer Center.

“This is the first time he has performed in this area, and this is a new show. A lot of people have seen him in New York and on Broadway, and this is not your typical dance recital.”

imgresWith unmatched energy and the ability to take tap dancing to a whole new level, Savion Glover has become America’s tap master. On Friday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. Savion Glover will take over the stage at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts with his show STePz.

He is so edgy,” Stage said. “He really pays homage to the classical tap dancing roots and to tap dancers of our generation, but he is very innovative and you never know what to expect. There is a fun, jamming vibe as if you were at a jam session with a band. Tap dancing is not something you see everyday, it is so different from all the shows we have done in the past.”

STePz fuses traditional music selections with Glover’s self-proclaimed tap style, unpredictability and energy. To watch videos and get more information on the Nov. 15 event, click here.
