Artist Margaret Salisbury will be in the gallery on Friday evening to give visitors the chance to talk with the artist about her style and inspiration for her artwork. Salisbury’s paintings capture the beautiful trout fishing streams, hidden views and many rural vistas, her  oil paintings of wildlife and farm animals also have gathered enthusiastic collectors. Salisbury can often be seen set up on the side of a quiet road or in a field as she creates her plein air paintings.

The Friday Flight Nights are a new addition The Art Cellar Gallery’s events and will be casual gatherings to meet a wide range of the gallery’s artists, celebrate the season’s exhibitions and explore the artwork throughout the extensive gallery space. Each Friday Flight Night will have a different theme, highlighting new artwork and wine pairings from 5-6:30 p.m. on June 28, July 10, July 24, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28.

“Gallery owners Pam and Michael McKay wanted these Flight Nights to be a fun addition to the summer, sharing an interesting glass of wine while celebrating the gallery’s artwork and artists,” said Gallery Director Liz Brown. “We usually get together and talk about art, wine and food, so it was a natural to create Flight Nights.”
