Nov. 18, 2013. On Nov. 17, Boone Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from 170 Whitener Drive. Shortly thereafter, a patrol officer observed the vehicle traveling east on King Street near Poplar Grove Connect. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle at King Street and Water Street, but the vehicle refused to stop. Officers pursued the vehicle back to 170 Whitener Drive were the sole occupant of the vehicle was taken into custody.
Jeffrey Lee Warren, 36, of U.S. 321 North in Sugar Grove was charged with Felonious Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Felonious Fleeing to Elude Arrest, Driving While License Revoked and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Warren received a $15,000 secured bond pending a Dec. 20, court appearance.
