Love or Hate Math, ASU’s Math Camp Held in Walker Hall July 8 – 11 is Fun For All Students

June 13, 2013. It doesn’t matter if you love, hate, can’t seem to get a handle or want a jump start on math next year, the 16th annual ASU Math Camp is for everyone. July 8 through 11 marks the camp that is held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Walker Hall.

mathcamp1_0All rising sixth through 12th graders are invited to four evenings of learning how math is important in everyday occupations.

Hands-on activities, graphing calculators, computers, competitions, group interaction, snacks and magic tricks are used to introduce algebra word problems. Teamwork, fun and creative expression is the focus of math camp, and campers can gain confidence and learn how working hard in science and math develops all types of thinking skills

Each evening snacks are provided by Harris Teeter, Domino’s Pizza, Subway and Mellow Mushroom.
