Lottery Players Win More Than $20M in Prizes This Week

Nov. 24, 2014. This week brought more than $20 million in prizes to lottery players across the state. Overall, instant scratch-off players in North Carolina won more than $15.5 million in prizes since Thursday, Nov. 13. During that time, players of draw games won $4.5 million in total prizes.

Big Winners Report

The biggest win of the week went to Beverly Hall of Leland, who plans to use the $150,000 she won playing the Golden 7’s game to pay off her mortgage. Hall, who owns and operates a residential and commercial cleaning business, purchased the lucky ticket at the Han-Dee Hugo on Eastwood Road in Wilmington. {Read more}

This week’s second big winner, Willie Murphy of Fayetteville, felt like a lucky guy in July when he won $10,000 on a scratch-off ticket. He felt even better after matching all five numbers in the Nov. 13 Carolina Cash 5 drawing, winning the $130,813 jackpot. {Read more}

Mega Millions Report

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $43 million if taken as an annuity or $26.1 million if taken as a lump sum. In the Nov. 14 Mega Millions drawing, 23,742 tickets won prizes ranging from $1 to $2,500, totaling $72,171. In Tuesday’s drawing, 21,113 tickets won $42,655 in prizes ranging from $1 to $1,000.

Powerball Report

Saturday’s Powerball players have the chance to win a $70 million jackpot if taken as an annuity or $43.5 million if taken as a lump sum. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing produced 10,800 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $10,000 totaling $84,527. The Saturday, Nov. 15 Powerball drawing produced 11,376 winning tickets ranging from $4 to $200, totaling $69,002.

MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ Report

Players in the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB game collected $22,279 in prizes this week, including three prizes of $500. Friday’s Top Prize is $18 million if taken as an annuity or $10.9 million if taken as a lump sum. If the Top Prize is won tonight, 12 additional winners across the country will be chosen to win a $1 million MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB prize.

All or Nothing Report

Players in the All or Nothing game collected $448,190 in prizes this week, including a $250,000 prize and 15 prizes of $500. Drawings occur every day at approximately 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

A ticket from the Nov. 14 evening drawing matched all 12 numbers and is worth $250,000. The ticket was sold at Hunter’s Crossing on Belgrade Swansboro Road in Hubert in Onslow County.
