Following a unanimous vote by the Boone Town Council at their regular June meeting, Loretta Clawson was sworn into her seat on the Boone Town Council on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Boone Town Hall. The ceremony was officiated by Clerk of Superior Court Diane Cornett Deal.

Council Member Clawson will remain on the Council until the November 2015 elections.

Immediately following the swearing-in ceremony, Mayor Andy Ball presented a plaque recognizing former Council Member Jennifer Peña’s service to the Town. Mayor Ball and other members of council expressed their appreciation to Peña and wished her all the best in her future endeavors.
