Dec. 19, 2013. Above is the new Boone Town Council minus Dr. Fred Hay, who was appointed by the new council to replace Mayor-Elect Andy Ball’s seat.
On Tuesday night, outgoing Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson called her last Boone Town Council Meeting to order and Ball, re-elected Councilman Rennie Brantz and incoming members Quint David and Jennifer Peña were sworn in to office by District Court Judge Greg Horne.
To see more photos of the first meeting with the new council, look below at Lonnie Webster’s images, or click here to view story and photos by Mark S. Kenna. Because Webster left the meeting early to capture the Watauga County Board of Commissioner’s public hearing on the proposed Beech Mountain water intake project, pictures of Hay are absent. However, Kenna capture images of Hay here.
