Aug. 26, 2013. Sheriff Len Hagaman has released the following information:
On Aug. 21, Watauga County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) received a report from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Computer Crime Unit for assistance in investigating allegations of possible possession of child pornography.
Sheriff Hagaman reported that the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit in cooperation with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Computer Crime Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted an investigation into the allegations.
As a result of the investigation the following individual was charged and arrested:

CHARGES:
Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor/NCGS 14-190.17A/ Four Counts
Jeffrey Scott Luttrell was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate and placed under a secured bond in the amount of $35.000.00 and a court date of September 17, 2013.
