LETTERS / We’re Governed, Our Minds Molded, Our Tastes Formed, Our Ideas Suggested, Largely By Those We’ve Never Heard Of

Dear Editor,

“Government is actually the worst failure of civilized man. There has never been a really good one, and even those that are most tolerable are arbitrary, cruel, grasping and unintelligent.” –H.L. Mencken

The Hegelian Principle was described by Hegel, a 19th century German philosopher defining a method used to focus “consumers” on any given issue. It’s been used repeatedly to gain power, money and control.

Few “consumers” know of this Hegelian Dialectic. Talking heads don’t speak about it on TV. You’ve been deeply impacted by its use in the removal of effective opposition to public policy. It’s how “consumers” minds are manipulated to accept deliberate change they’d ordinarily refuse.

Hegel believed that society must sacrifice individualism for “the greater good”. He wrote: “the state has supreme right against the individual, whose supreme duty is to be a member of the State, for the right of the world spirit is above all special privileges”, ignoring its use by and for special privilege.

It starts with the defining statement of Edwards Bernays’ 1928 book, Propaganda. “The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society”. “Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We’re governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by those we’ve never heard of.

This strategy is used to control “consumers” through deliberately created division: those in control trigger a problem that causes you to be afraid and demand safety. The rulers then offer a solution, which they’d already chosen before they ignited the crisis; this solution requires more power for them and less freedom for you. TVs relentlessly feature this “burning issue”, for “consumers” who scream for a solution.

The “solutions” appeal to “consumers” emotions leading them to think something good is being done for them. Actually something bad is being done to them: a solution that the public never knew it needed.

Arguments are discussed for and against change. Unapproved solutions aren’t presented by your “free” press or politicians. The manipulators publicly “debate” approved solutions until a “compromise” is featured as the “solution”. The outcome of the “debate”, which allegedly weighs your concerns with the “need” to do something, becomes public policy, like the “Patriot act”.

The “conspiracy theory” is a function of the Hegelian process. It divides and directs public opinion towards the things we’re required to believe so society acts as intended by “our government”. You don’t want to be a “conspiracy theorist”: a fanatic favoring his chosen theory accurately describes those who defend the official account of events like 9/11, not those who dispute it. Once “official” ideas are planted in “consumers” minds it’s difficult to show them anything on the “unapproved” menu.

“Consumers” aren’t taught, and don’t know unbiased history. They defend nationalist propaganda insulting common sense and historical facts. Deviate from “official stories” and you’re a “Conspiracy theorist”, smeared for unapproved thinking. Its character assassination intended to stop you from independent thinking.

Operation Northwoods is a perfect example of this, and you can be sure it wasn’t an orphan idea. The Empire favors false flag operations using spectacular atrocities. Blame it on the chosen enemy. Issue a lie-infested official narrative, and the corporate media repeats the lie. Enrage militant crowds, fuel the hatred, and wage war with the public stamp of approval.

“Pro-democracy” becomes synonymous with the rights and profits of business owners, not its traditional meaning of government for the common people. This perversion of language isn’t meant to fool the average Guatemalan or Iraqi, who knows reality from seeing the facts up close; it’s to control “consumers” who need their perception managed. “Consumers” then accept aggressive foreign policy to “kick the Vietnam Syndrome” to end popular resistance to foreign wars.

“Consumers” are taught to reject contradictory stories and disturbing explanations and accept “official” history. Americans like to believe that “our government” reflects their own values of faith, freedom, and friendliness. Libertarians have long been saying: “government” isn’t peaceful, friendly, or motivated by Christian morals but power and imperial lust. After the Soviet Union crashed, America’s “elites” declared America the “indispensable nation” and so accelerated their criminal activities.

There’s no brake on America’s slide to tyranny whose bureaucrats insist that their power can’t be diminished or limited. America’s foreign enemies “don’t hate us for our freedom”. Its domestic enemies do and they hold the power in Mordor on the Potomac.

America is becoming a fulfillment of Orwell’s and Huxley’s worst premonitions about how bad government can be and how evil those exercising power can be. The moneychangers control the levers that lock your mind and pocketbook, keeping you focused on a make-believe reality. The evening “news” tell you what you’re supposed to think/believe.

When you hear talk about “free trade”, what’s being revealed is our integration deeper into the emerging corporate/one world system.  Obama’s been negotiating several secret treaties which would accelerate the deindustrialization of America.  One of these is “the Trans-Pacific Partnership”, and it would result in more jobs exported making slave labor wages commonplace.

The world appears divided and chaotic because it has been made that way by a minority. Any competent unbiased historian could easily produce undeniable evidence of the involvement of international banks and think tanks pulling strings on both sides for any war in the past 100 years. Baby Bush’s grandfather, American senator, financially supported the Nazi’s until the senate made him stop during the war.

Victoria Nuland, state department official was caught bragging about creating the current Ukraine situation.

Each supposed disintegration creates greater centralization. The skeptics ignore this. The progression of catastrophes suggests the next war will bring greater globalization ruled by a minority of “wise men” who only wish to bring you peace and harmony. Elites focus on centralization increasing their power. The middle-classes go along because they’re distracted/unaware.

Division and misdirection divide citizens who are then easily manipulated by self-serving “leaders”. The goals are psychological. The “elites” control central banks and government. They want you to embrace global government as a fact of existence, for only when we participate in their lies will they fully win. All this is much too complicated for “consumers” who prefer simple stories.

The Orwellian state created since 9/11 is good at listening to, and harassing “consumers”, but hasn’t stopped terrorism. No government surveillance can predict and prevent violence.

The Neocon disciples of Fascist Godfather Leo Strauss believe that the elite should use deception, religious fervor and perpetual war to control the gullible American population, to rule without restraint.

American people, as individuals, have lost their courage. The government prefers it that way. A fearful people are easier to rule than a courageous one, but Americans don’t wish to lose their self-image of courage. So, when confronted with a situation demanding courage to challenge a government gone wrong, the American people simply pretend that the situation doesn’t exist. Cherished illusions supersede hard reality.

Once you’re told someone opposes the “official” presentations, you reject them and refuse to even consider their message/information. Once “our government” pursued criminals. Then it became terrorists, and now you hear them speak more often about extremists. Watch the concept of extremist grow from dark men with bombs, to someone who opposes, publically and politely, any government decree.
