Oct. 21, 2013. The left over student tickets to the Tedeschi Trucks Band concert on Nov. 1 finally went on sale to the public today at 9 a.m. As of press time, there are less than 80 tickets remaining for the highly-anticipated concert at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts.
On Nov. 1 at 8 p.m., the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts will host the Tedeschi Trucks Band, an 11-piece musical ensemble led by husband and wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi. Tickets for the concert are $30 for adults and $18 for students with a valid student ID.
“The band wanted to make sure that the students are able to come. They have a really big following, they are a really popular band so we have honored that and are giving students a chance to get their tickets since we knew this show would sell out,” said Megan Stage of the department of Arts and Cultural Programs at ASU.
The tickets available are what remains of 250 tickets set aside specifically for students to purchase.
The tickets were released for public purchase this morning, and are expected to sell out by the end of the day.
On Friday, Nov. 15, the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts will host Savion Glover’s STePz, a celebration of tap dance and sound. Glover and his team of dancers will showcase complex moves and varied combinations to the awed audience. Tickets to the show are $20 for adults, $16 for faculty and staff and $10 for students with a valid student ID.
The STePz show will signal the end of the 2013 Performing Arts Series at ASU, however, the 2014 section of the series will pick back up in January with many more performances.
