Lees-McRae Summer Theatre Presents: A Grand Night For Singing July 16-20 at the Hayes Auditorium

July 15, 2014. After a great production of Kiss Me, Kate, the cast and crew of Lees-McRae Summer Theatre are excited to begin their next  show: A Grand Night for Singing. This production will be performed July 16-20 at 7 p.m. and July 17, 19 and 20 at 2 p.m.

imgresDr. Janet Barton Speer, artistic director of Summer Theatre and director of A Grand Night for Singing said, “This is the second time I have directed this show and I couldn’t be more excited! Taking songs from famous Rodgers and Hammerstein shows like The Sound of Music, South Pacific, The King and I, Oklahoma, State Fair and many more, the writers created a new territory. Singers and dancers put a new twist to those old favorites. Tuxes, beautiful gowns, a small orchestra and beautiful music performed by outstanding talents make this show a visual and audible feast.”

The Summer Theatre Box Office opened June 16 and is located in the lobby of Hayes Auditorium. It is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Show day hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. The Box Office phone number is 828-898-8709.
