Lees-McRae Summer Theatre Presents: A Grand Night For Singing July 16-20 at Hayes Auditorium

July 8, 2014. After a great production of Kiss Me, Kate, the cast and crew of Lees-McRae Summer Theatre are excited to begin their next show, A Grand Night for Singing. This production will be performed July 16-20 at 7 p.m. and July 17, 19 and 20 at 2 p.m.

Dr. Janet Barton Speer, artistic director of Summer Theatre and director of A Grand Night for singing said, “This is the second time I have directed this show and I couldn’t be more excited! Taking songs from famous Rodgers and Hammerstein shows like The Sound of Music, South Pacific, King and I, Oklahoma, State Fair and many more, the writers created a new territory. Singers and dancers put a new twist to these old favorites. Tuxes, beautiful gowns, a small orchestra and beautiful music performed by outstanding talents made this show a visual and audible feast.”
