The last weekend in February looks like a pretty good one for skiing or snowboarding. Up to four inches of natural snow has fallen over the past couple days and the recent temperatures in the 20s have been pretty good snowmaking weather.
As Appalachian Ski Mtn. noted in a post titled, “Great Conditions for Last Weekend in February,” recently on its website, “The last weekend in February looks ideal for skiing & snowboarding, with seasonal temperatures and calm clear skies.”
App Ski Mtn. has a base of 50 to 74 inches and all of its slopes and terrain parks are open.
Upcoming Events at App Ski Mtn.
Appalachian Ski Mtn. is scheduled to be open for skiers and snowboarders through Saturday, April 2. Hawksnest Tubing
The weather this weekend should be awesome for tubing. Plenty of two-hour tubing sessions are taking place throughout the upcoming days from 10 a.m. to the last session beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to the last session beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday; and Monday through Thursday form 10 a.m. to the last session beginning at 4 p.m.
