Kevin Costner, Diane Lane heroic tale ‘Let Him Go’ Lands Summer 2020 unharness

Lesley Manville also stars in the Focus Features film.

Kevin Costner and Diane Lane’s suspense thriller Let Him Go will ride into theaters on Aug. 21, 2020, Focus Features said Tuesday.

The story, based on the novel of the same name by Larry Watson, focuses on retired sheriff George Blackledge (Costner) and his wife Margaret (Lane) — who, following the loss of their son — leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson. When they discover that he is in the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, the couple must fight for the survival of their own brood.

Directed by Thomas Bezucha, Let Him Go also stars Lesley Manville.

CAA motion picture agent Jelani Johnson is moving to MACRO to serve as executive vp content strategy, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

After graduating from Columbia University, Johnson began his career as an intern at CAA, then became a manager, first at Generate and then at The Mission Entertainment, a management/production company he co-founded to focus on underrepresented content creators.
