Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Program at Watauga High School Marks Important Milestone
Oct. 7, 2013. The JROTC program at Watauga High School marked an important milestone on Oct. 2 with the promotion and appointment of cadets to leadership positions. Senior Instructor Lt. Col Gerald Harper, USMC, (Ret) described the event as “an important first step in building an entire cadet battalion staff here at Watauga High School.”

Master Sergeant David Hernandez, USMC, (Ret), faces the cadets. Hernandez is one of two instructors in the JROTC program.
