Oct. 14, 2014. On Oct. 10, just after midnight, Boone Police responded to a reported gunshot at 151 Kimberly Drive.
An investigation revealed that David Carden Britt, 21, was cleaning a firearm inside his apartment when it discharged traveling through the floor into an adjacent apartment.
Britt was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Mr. Britt was charged with felonious discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling.
Britt was given a $75,000 secured bond pending a Nov. 18, 2014, appearance in Watauga County District Court.
No one was injured as a result of this incident.
