Aug. 12, 2014. The Hospitality House Board of Directors and Hearts of Hospitality Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting the annual Hope Luncheon Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. Held for the third consecutive year at the picturesque Wats Gap Pavillion at Blue Ridge Mountain Club; this year’s luncheon, 30 Years of Hope, will celebrate thirty-years of Hospitality House providing a safety net for people in need while honoring the six founding churches for their leadership, vision and dedication.

Incorporated in 1984 as a joint mission of St. Luke’s Episcopal, St. Elizabeth Catholic, Boone United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Grace Lutheran and First Baptist of Boone, Hospitality House has seen increased demand for services as well as a major shift in needs during the past 30 years.

While homelessness was initially perceived as an issue involving just men, the lated point-in-time study shows that women and children make up 73 percent of the homeless population with families being the most vulnerable and fastest growing demographic of homlessness in Ashe, Avery, Watauga and Wilkes counties.

The luncheon, catered by Buddy Fore and Grouse Moore Catering, will feature guest speakers sharing their inspirational stories and triumphant journeys out of homelessness. Event attendees will learn about the unparalleled success of Hospitality House, the wealth of new programs and services being offered as well as being invited to become involved in the mission of helping people rebuild their lives. New this year, guests will have the option of purchasing a variety of lily and pearl floral arrangements and bidding on upscale silent auction items while listening to music provided by residents of Hospitality House.

In order to accommodate a successful number of guests, Hospitality House hosts the luncheon at no charge for attendees. However, sponsorship partners are needed to help underwrite the event to ensure its success and make the maximum impact possible with the money raised.

If you or your business are interested in helping to underwrite the luncheon please contact Todd Carter at 828-264-1237 ext. 107 or todd@hosphouse.org. To learn more about Hospitality House or to RSVP for the luncheon visit the website at www.HospHouse.org.
