Horn in the West is the nation’s oldest Revolutionary War drama. Frontiersman Daniel Boone and the mountain settlers of the region fight to preserve their freedom during the years before and during the War for Independence in this outdoor drama. By the end of the production, you’ll be imagining yourself as a frontiersman raising a family as you fight for your independence too.

This year, the show will return to a Kermit Hunter script, directed by Britt Corry who, “brings a wealth of theatrical experience to the performance.” The beloved Fire Dance will also be returning. Some previous actors will be making an appearance in this year’s show, including Darrell King as Reverend Sims and Jenny Cole as Widow Howard.

If you haven’t seen Horn in the West yet, they invite you to come out for their 67th season and see these popular additions. House gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. If you get there earlier, be sure to visit the Hickory Ridge Museum, which opens at 5:30 p.m., while you wait.

Visit the Tatum Cabin and other historical buildings for a taste of the show’s setting before the production starts.
