The “Garden Goddess” ceramic statue is a creation of Jerry Hutchins and sits in the Hutchins’ back garden, which will be one of seven properties featured on the 2015 Watauga County Home and Garden Tour next Saturday.

Tickets are still available through Friday at $25 each at the Appalachian Antique Mall in downtown Boone, across King Street from the Mast Store. Those waiting until Saturday to buy tickets will pay $35 and will need to go to JayCees Park in Boone to get them.

Lunch will be provided to all ticket-holders.

The “Garden Goddess” is more than life-size and was created and fired in sections that were later put together in the Hutchins’ garden.

Other properties featured on the 2015 Home & Garden Tour include the Gov. Jim Holshouser birthplace, the home of Jim and Sheila Deal, the home of Marc and Sandy Kadyk, the home of Ellie Lyne, the home of Emily Bish and a custom-designed contemporary dwelling known as “The Hardwood Treehouse.”
