Heritage Hall Theatre in Mountain City, Tenn Presents ‘The Ghost in the Meadow’ on Friday, Nov. 15

Oct. 8, 2013. On Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. Barter Theatre will present The Ghost in the Meadow, sponsored by Bodymind Dynamics, Redden Realty and Watauga Lake Winery at Heritage Hall. When two sisters relocate to an old farmhouse in upstate New York, they begin to suspect that they may not be alone in the house. With the help of their friend Julian and an experienced psychic, they discover that their dream home has an evil history, dating back to the Civil War. If you like suspense, you will love this chilling mystery that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Advance tickets for the show are $18 and tickets at the door are $20 for adults and all youth seats are $10. 

On Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m., The Kruger Brothers will play a concert sponsored by Mountain Air, Inc., Family Prescription Center and Final Touch. The Kruger Brothers are an amazingly talented and popular band whose reputation traditionally precedes them. Since a formal introduction to American audiences in 1997, their remarkable facility with their instruments and unique take on the American Songbook have made the Kruger Brothers a fixture within the world of acoustic music.

Although initially staying fairly close to a traditional repertoire, the group later turned to song writing and composition in order to draw more closely from their personal experiences. The result is a calog of songs distinguished by rich detail and an insight into the elicacy and complexity of everyday life. The honesty of their writing has since become a hallmark of the trio’s work. 

The Krugers recently appeared on David Letterman with Steve Martin to receive his national award to exemplary banjo players. Advance tickets to this concert are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. All kids seats are $8. 

Thursday through Sunday, Dec. 5-8, the Johnson County Community Theatre will present It’s a Wonderful Life the 1946 American Christmas classic based on The Greatest Gift by Phillip Van Doren Sterm. In it, an angel helps a compassionate but desparingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. All Youth seats are $5.
