Ready for some serious laughs? Check out nationally recognized comedian Henry Cho as he brings his “funny but clean” comedy tour to the High Country this weekend.

Catch the show at the Harvest House Performing Arts Venue in Boone beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 21.

“I have been doing this for 30 years,” said Cho, who is proud to be one of few performers to offer good, clean humor for adult audiences. “I am full-blood Korean but I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, so I like to say I’m South Korean.”

Cho began his comedy career while studying at the University of Tennessee when he first hit the stage during a competition show and took home first place. Since then, he has appeared on networks and programs including NBC’s Tonight Show, The Late, Late Show on CBS and NBC’s Friday Night Videos, as well as many guest roles in various network sitcoms.

He regularly performs at the Grand Ole Opry, boasts several well-known film credits, served as keynote entertainer for the 59th annual Radio and Television Correspondents’ Dinner for the Bush Administration and works extensively with big-time stars like Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Willie Nelson, Carrie Underwood, Michael W. Smith and many more.

You can catch Cho’s one-hour special “What’s That Clickin’ Noise” on Comedy Central, as well as on Sirius, XM and Blue Collar Radio.

The Tennessee native has played at North Carolina venues in Charlotte, Raleigh and on the coast. He looks forward to adding Boone to that list while he’s in town for his son’s soccer tournament this weekend.

During the Q-and-A session at the end of the show, ask him about his latest faith-based film, Saving Faith, which features cameos from country stars including Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Phil Vassar and the Rascal Flatts.

“I like playing new venues. I love playing in new towns and spreading my comedy brand. My show is adult humor, it’s just clean,” said Cho. “That’s the way it has been since I started. First and foremost I am a Christian, so it’s easy to do clean comedy.”
