The creeks and rivers in the High Country are brown on Wednesday morning from an onslaught of heavy rain.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning until about 4 p.m. and stated that up to two inches of rain has already fallen in some parts of the region. In fact, archives at RaysWeather.com notes that Boone has received 2.29 inches of rain on Wednesday as of about 10 a.m.
RaysWeather.com forecasted that the rain should taper off late today but may linger into the evening hours.
