Dec. 6, 2013. Eric Schneider, an outreach and eligibility specialist with High Country Community Health, and certified enrollment specialist Dick VanEecke have several upcoming sessions at the Watauga County Public Library to help interested citizens navigate the new Health Insurance Marketplace.
Space is limited as only seven seats are available at each of the sessions listed below:
Saturday, Dec. 14
Watauga County Library
11 a.m. & 1 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 21

To reserve a spot, call the reference desk at 828-264-8784, ext. 2.
Schneider and VanEecke, who are both unaffiliated with any businesses, will not only help you understand how the Affordable Care Act affects you and your family, but they will assist you in the marketplace enrolling process.
Recommended Documents for Appointments:
- Photo ID
- Social Security Cards or document numbers (legal immigrants) for each member of your household.
- Birth dates for spouse and/or any dependents.
- Previous tax return, pay stubs, W-2 forms, or wage statements if you have them (for estimate purposes).
- Policy numbers for any current health insurance policies.
- Information about any health insurance you or your family could get through an employer.
Schneider, based in Watauga, is also available by appointment for one-on-one or small business sessions to test eligibility.
“I am happy to do anything to help get the word out. A lot of people don’t know about this stuff. They don’t know about the individual responsibility requirement where most people will have to buy health insurance or face a fee,” Schneider said earlier in the year.
