Haircut 101 is proudly partnering with Santa’s Toy Box again this holiday season to help families in need by providing a toy collection box at its location, 174 South Depot Street in downtown Boone. Haircut 101 encourages everyone to participate in this worthwhile cause by donating and/or volunteering.

“Giving back to our local community is one of the most important things we can do to support each other,” said John Mena, salon owner and stylist. “We have had incredible turnouts in the past, and we hope to have everyone’s support in giving to local families in need this year.”

Santa’s Toy Box was started in 1986 by the men’s group at Deerfield Methodist Church. Since opening, Santa’s Toy Box has helped over 15,000 children of all ages in Watauga County. Santa’s Toy Box has survived over the years thanks to countless donations from individuals, businesses and churches, and the program needs help again this year.

Santa’s Toy Box is located on George Wilson Road in Boone and will begin shelving, assembling, and distributing toys.
