Why go home and spend the evening cooking when you could join Green Street Catering for spirit night at Chick-fil-a in Boone? The fun takes places from 5:30-7:30 tonight.

If you have time to dine in the restaurant, enjoy fellowship along with dinner and spin the wheel for a chance to win Chick-fil-a prizes. Even if you don’t have time to stay, swing through the drive-thru and grab dinner.

When you order, make sure you mention that you’re eating to support Green Street Catering. The restaurant will then donate 20 percent of all sales to the organization, which operates entirely on donations, grant funding and volunteerism to feed hundreds and hundreds of people in the High Country at no cost every week.

If you’re going through the drive-thru, honk so the folks inside know you’re there to show support.

“Green Street Catering’s mission is to feed our wonderful community one meal at a time. It’s also about people helping people,” said GSC Executive Director Chastity Lesesne. “We cannot do this without our wonderful community of businesses, volunteers, donors, support, prayers and resources.”

Lesesne said spirit night events are a “no-brainer” for all involved.

“It is great food, fun for the kids in the only indoor restaurant playground in Boone, fun for adults as we visit and play games to win Chick-fil-a prizes — all the while, our purchases during these hours purchase food and resources to provide free meals that are delivered and distributed each week,” she said. “As we purchase and receive a delicious meal out, we are able to give at the same time to our community.”

Green Street Catering

Since the Green Street’s inception six years ago, Chick-fil-a has been one of its primary local partners.

“Since 2010, Green Street Catering has provided thousands of meals to the wonderful people in our community. Chick-fil-a is all about that,” said Lesesne. “No matter what the project is to feed our community and serve the people here, Chick-fil-a gives with wisdom, generosity, fun and great food. We are proud to have them as one of our premier partners. Chick-fil-a rocks!”
