Blowing Rock Crime Author Glenn A. Bruce to Offer First Book Signing Dec. 8 at Black Bear Books at Boone Mall

Dec. 3, 2012. Blowing Rock crime writer and Appalachian State faculty member Glenn A. Bruce will offer his first book signing at Black Bear Books in the Boone Mall on Dec. 8 from 1-4 p.m.  He will have free bookmarks and plenty of paperback copies of his books. 

Bruce recently released his latest book “Rubric,” the story of the events that “send fictional Homicide Detective Mark Young into a spiraling free fall of change and self-examination” after a series of killings in his community. 

“My Detective Mark Young sinks into some very dark places, but he refuses to give up, even if it means giving up his own life for his family,” said Bruce. 

Aside from “Rubric”, Bruce has authored three other novels (“Riverbend,” “Versions of the Truth” and “Temptation Key”), two collections of short stories (“All Most Together Now” and “Rest Along the Way”) and a political philosophy book (“Anthem: The Practical Guide to Being a Good American”).

Bruce currently teaches Screenwriting and Acting for the Camera at ASU where he been teaching for 8 years. He is a member of Writers Guild of America, West, the Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA, and was just accepted as an author member in the International Thriller Writers.

Bruce has also written for many television shows and movies, such as Walker, Texas Ranger, Kickboxer and Baywatch among many others.
