Many of the gas stations in Boone have raised their prices by 10 cents over the past week, according to NC Gas Buddy. This marks a 15-cent increase in March, and several months of price declines (of roughly $1) since last summer.
Prices in the High Country, however, are still lower than the state average, which sits at $1.93 and the national average, which is just shy of $2 per gallon, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
