A fundraiser for Denny and Charlotte will feature music and BBQ on Saturday, July 21 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Watauga High School. You can choose from BBQ Pork, Chicken or Hotdogs as you listen to Amantha Mill, The Burnett Sisters, The Norris Family and The Winger Family.
Denny and Charlotte are currently staying with family after their home was “rendered a total loss” on Monday, April 23rd. The fire started in a vehicle in the family’s garage.
Unable to disturb the scene while insurance companies negotiated settlement, their salvageable items spoiled or were ruined by weather, leaving them with little. 47 years of memories were lost among the destruction.
The fundraiser and online funding will go towards covering costs of food, shelter, transport, and essential personal items not covered by insurance. Currently, the online fundraiser has raised $150 of the $3000 goal.
