Come meet BElle, the Spiral Wishing Well, at Banner Elk Town Hall through the month of March, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. BElle, an amazing “coin funnel for charity ” game, was donated by Friends of the Historic Banner Elk School to support the fundraising campaign for the Historic School. Come and help BElle “spiral” her way to a $500 goal.
Children and adults alike love tossing coins onto the launch ramps and into the spiral vortex and watching them get swallowed down the funnel. It’s a fun mix of science-in-action and donating for a great cause as the coins disappear in the “saving vortex,” and reappear later as help for the Historic Banner Elk School. 100 percent of the donations support the fundraising campaign for the school, a well-loved building in Banner Elk that is to be repurposed as a multi-use facility for the community.
BElle and other coin donation games have raised thousands of dollars for their schools, churches and communities. It’s easy, it’s mesmerizing! Collect those coins lying around your house and bring them to Banner Elk Town Hall, 200 Park Ave., to feed BElle the Spiral Wishing Well. Make a wish and watch the lucky coins spin round and round, all for a great cause.
BE on the lookout. BElle will be making appearances throughout Avery County. This Saturday, March 28, 9 a.m., BElle will be at the Banner Elk Café for the Breakfast with the Easter Bunny event and at 11a.m. at the Easter Egg Hunt at the Town Park (Tate Evans Park).
