“The best lead we had was a video of a large person wearing gloves and a Guy Fawkes mask. This investigation led us to Statesville, NC, to assist Statesville Police Department in serving a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, where several vital pieces of evidence were collected. The mask worn by the suspect was recovered in an icy portion of Laurel Fork Creek. By the end of this investigation, our detectives were able to solve this case and make these arrests. I’m proud of the hard work our detectives give our citizens each day, but especially on this case.” said Boone Police Lt. Chris Hatton
The Boone Police Department would like to thank the Statesville Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
