Flurries and Chilly Temps To Interrupt Past Few Days of Wonderful Spring Weather

You couldn’t ask for nicer weather in early March than the High Country has had the past few days with temperatures in the 60s and even 70s with plenty of sunshine and blue skies.

Talk about spring-cleaning weather. Or nice temps for enjoying the day on the deck of the Town Tavern in Blowing Rock!

But reality will soon set in. As we all know, a little warm weather in March doesn’t mark the beginning of spring – just ask a local farmer or gardener. That usually comes around Mother’s Day.

On Thursday evening, the low temperatures dip back down into the 30s, and the temperatures will continue to decline at least through Sunday, according to RaysWeather.com, which described it as a “step-by-step” process after Wednesday.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday will all see low temperatures just at or below freezing, and RaysWeather.com is even forecasting a little bit of snow showers and flurries on Sunday.

So this could provide a little motivation to get back out on the ski slopes and enjoy one of the last skiing or snowboarding hoorahs of the 2015-16 season.
