Fireworks on the 4th: The High Country Offers Many Chances to See Amazing Fireworks this Fourth of July

If you were to ask someone what they thought of when they heard the phrase “4th of July Celebrations,” you would probably get a variety of answers. Some of these may include things such as independence, freedom and maybe one or two answers of “hotdogs!” However, chances are you will probably get numerous responses involving those explosive beauties we like to call fireworks. 

While fireworks are used in a lot of holidays, such as New Year’s Eve, and events, such as a fireworks display at a theme park, the fireworks for 4th of July celebrations are always the most beautiful, and the most meaningful, around. So, for this 4th of July holiday, the High Country is presenting its visitors and residents alike with multiple fireworks demonstration that you are more than welcome to come out and enjoy!

Boone

  • Tuesday, July 4: Fireworks will be held at Clawson-Burnley Park at 9:30 p.m. 

Beech Mountain 

  • Saturday, July 1: Fireworks will happen after dark at the Beech Mountain Resort. 

Blowing Rock

  • Saturday, July 1: Fireworks will take place at the Blowing Rock Country Club at 9:30 p.m. 

Crossnore

  • Tuesday, July 4: At nightfall, the firemen of Crossnore will put on a fireworks display. 

Sugar Mountain

  • Tuesday, July 4: Mountain top fireworks at Sugar Mountain will start at 9:30 p.m.

Tweetsie Railroad

  • Tuesday, July 4: Tweetsie Railroad’s Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at 9:30 p.m. 

Newland

  • Tuesday, July 4: Fireworks will take place on the Riverwalk at 9:15 p.m. 

Spruce Pine

  • Tuesday, July 4: Fireworks will be held in Central Park following the parade that starts at 5 p.m. 

Ashe County

  • Tuesday, July 4: There will be fireworks at the Ashe County Park after dark. 

Bethel

  • Tuesday, July 4 : After dark, the “best fireworks show in the High Country” will take place at Bethel Park.
