The Watauga County NAACP Chapter will be presenting at the April F.A.C.E.S. event. This month’s speaker is Chris Osmond who has entitled his talk, “Teaching Into the Crisis: Public Education’s Moment, and What We Can Do About It”. The event will be held on April 9 beginning at 5:30pm.

Dinner will be served after the presentation and will follow the “pay as you can” method used daily at F.A.R.M. Café. Suggested donations are based on plate size. Those who are able to give are encouraged to donate within the suggested range or give a little more to help a neighbor in need. Those who cannot give are invited to donate an hour of their time in exchange for a meal.

Community members are invited to share and discuss issues and topics that are meaningful to them and the High Country. Individuals are encouraged to suggest possible topics or presenters. Please email staff@farmcafe.org with suggestions.
