Friends, families, local residents and visitors alike flocked to the streets of downtown Blowing Rock on Saturday to enjoy the town’s charming annual Christmas parade. Main Street was lined with folks who were bundled up and ready to kick off the holiday season with the parade, which has become a true destination Christmas event for people throughout the region. Friendly faces representing various organizations and programs in the community strolled through town spreading cheer and waving hello to the crowd. The parade followed the town’s Christmas in the Park event on Friday, which featured caroling, hot chocolate, hayrides, live music, the lighting of the town and meet-and-greets with Santa Claus. Check out our photos below and relive the festivities from this year’s parade.
