1) Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina Workshop Held April 30
A workshop for those interested in participating in the Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina (BRMT) will be held at the Old Rock School in Valdese on Wednesday, April 30 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost is $15 and includes lunch. 2) Valle Country Fair Grant Applications Now Being Accepted
The Church of the Holy Cross is calling for Valle Country Fair Grant Applications. Nonprofit, charitable organizations are eligible. Deadline to apply is June 8. Please find information on how to apply at www.ValleCountryFair.org. Applicants will be informed of their status mid-summer and grants will be awarded Sunday, Oct. 26. All grants are funded through proceeds of the Valle Country Fair, a ministry of The Church of the Holy Cross and the Valle Crucis Conference Center. 1) Registration Now Open for Camp Mountaintop Discovery
Camp Mountaintop Discovery is a non-competitive, coed youth empowerment and adventure camp located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina on 380-acres of beautiful mountaintop property. Camp Mountaintop Discovery provides a unique opportunity for self-discovery, relationship building, community awareness, outdoor adventure and developing a healthy and joyful lifestyle. Youth Empowerment Seminars (YES!) and All Around Training and Excellence (ART Excel) programs provide a dynamic and fun experience that challenges teens to take responsibility for their life and provides a comprehensive set of practical tools for releasing stress, mastering emotions and raising self-awareness. This will coincide with fun-filled outdoor excursions including waterfall hikes, rock climbing, river tubing, gem mining, swimming and more.
