Michael Eller led from green to checkered flag to record another win and take home the $620 winner’s share in Saturday’s Stock 4 Feature event. There was added money on the line for the 31-lap Danny May Memorial race, making it the biggest payday to date at the track for the division. Kenneth Brown of Mountain City came out on top in the Stock 8 division.

The race was cut short due to a wild ride that ended Dale White and Paul Clarks night leaving only three cars remaining on the track. Jonesville’s Jeff Parsons proved he not only can win in an Open Wheel Modified at the track, but in a Late Model Sportsman as well. He beat out Jimmy Watson and Randy Ring in the division’s first points race of the season.Semi Mod 4 action saw Ashe County’s Billy Goodman beating out Clark Reavis. Reavis was relegated to the rear of the field for earlier contact with Goodman but still came back for second.

In the Sport Compact Division,Watauga High school student Kyle Moretz pulled away from Amanda Farmer for the win. The Young Gun division had Dixie Barker win her second straight Feature in a row. She had to work for this one as her and Nicole Dillard ran side by side for several laps.

Dillard’s car ended up with a flat tire with two laps to go, but she still managed to finish second behind Barker. With driveline problems sidelining him last week,Danny Lewis, Sr. showed he had the issues fixed for the Outlaw 4 Feature event this week. He beat out a quick Roger Barker who ran out of laps to mount a challenge.

The Extreme Sport Compact division had Kevin Roberts out in the lead when the green flag flew.Chris Norris chased Roberts down and ended up with the win. His first of the season.Saturday July 8th will see (7) regular divisions in action with kids bicycle racing at intermission.
