July 5, 2013. Despite the constant barrage of rain, Boone residents and visitors made their way through the weather to turn out for the annual Boone Fourth of July Parade.
Braving the more than slightly damp weather, spectators showed up armed with umbrellas and raincoats to ward off the precipitation to enjoy the much-anticipated annual event.
This year, the parade went off without a hitch, with many marchers delighting onlookers all along King Street. Independence Day 2013 looked like yet another success for the town, and as always, the show must go on.
