DC Collective Performing At Bayou Smokehouse June 20th

If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Bayou Smokehouse in Banner Elk, there is no better time than this Tuesday, June 20th for Concerts in the Courtyard. Not only will you get to enjoy the restaurant’s authentic Cajun cuisine but also get to experience this free weekly musical event.

“Seating is first come first serve,” said Lee Ammann. “We have wine amnesty where you can buy a bottle from our store and we wave the cork fee.”

This week the stage will be taken over by High Country’s own Dave Calvert Collective featuring Dave Calvert. Often referred to as Banner Elk’s ultimate party band, the band is well known for performing popular R&B, rock and pop tunes that keep everyone up and dancing. What better way to spend a High Country summer night than eating good food with great music in the heart of Banner Elk.

When Dave isn’t performing with DC Collective, you can probably find him at his BBQ restaurant, Carolina Barbecue, in Newland. Voted best BBQ in the High Country for 12 years and counting, the restaurant also features live music on Friday and Saturday nights to get your feet tapping and your hips shaking.

Concerts in the Courtyard will occur rain or shine and go from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“Come try us. Great food, great atmosphere,” said  Ammann.

June 27th Typical Mountain Boys will be performing, followed by DC Collective returning July 11, The Lucky Strikes on July 18th and Stella on July 25th.
