Daily Tunes will be bringing you live music performances in the High Country area for every day of the week. Get out there and enjoy the cool breezes and relaxing music of summer before it’s over!
Two miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in historic Blowing Rock, there is a little inn that hosts live music on Friday nights. On these cool summer nights, crowds of families and locals come to the Inn at Ragged Gardens, for their Music on the Lawn.
The patrons unfurl their blankets under the large tree in the grassy space in front of the inn, as the music is performed from a little stage. The historic inn is lit up at night, and with all of the surrounding greenery and flowers, it looks like a fairytale hideaway.
This Friday, the Lucky Strikes Jazz Band will be performing! This upbeat group loves to play music from a few different genres, including blues, beach, swing, and rock n’ roll oldies. So, no matter what they play, the crowd will be tapping their toes and dancing along!
Next Friday, Continental Divide will perform and wow the crowd with their unique music.
The Inn is right around the corner from a brewing company and antique store, which are just a few of the many interesting things to check out in Blowing Rock. In addition to the music, a few non-profit organizations like the Humane Society are scheduled to come throughout the summer to educate the public about their cause.
Although pets, coolers, and outside foods aren’t allowed into the event, a cash bar and lawn menu are available throughout the concert. If the weather doesn’t look promising, you should check the Inn’s Facebook page for weather cancellations.
Come out to the Inn at Ragged Gardens and enjoy a Friday evening of good music, food, and drink!
