Crime Stoppers: Missing Vehicle from Mountain Home and Hearth and Stolen Sunglasses from Saks

April 8, 2014. High Country Crime Stoppers and local law enforcement agencies seek the public’s assistance in solving the following two crimes:

Missing Vehicle from Mountain Home and Hearth

The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office requests your help identifying the whereabouts of a black 1993 Nissan Sentra, two-door that was parked on the side of U.S. Highway 421 South in front of Mountain Home and Hearth.

The vehicle was parked due to inclement weather on Thursday, March 27, 2014, and when the owner returned to pick the vehicle up on Saturday, March 29, 2014, it was not there.  The vehicle has a North Carolina License plate of CEW-8339.  The vehicle also has a Martin guitar sticker and an Espresso News sticker in the back window.

Two Pairs of Sunglasses Stolen from Saks Grill

Saks_Suspect (3)High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

On April 1, 2014, a larceny occurred at 450 East King Street, Saks Grill. Two white females entered the business and placed an order for food from the grill.  While they were waiting for their food, both of the females began looking at the sunglasses. 

One of the females took a pair of sunglasses and placed them in her pocket.  A short time later, she took another pair of sunglasses.  After receiving their food, both of the females left the store and failed to pay for the sunglasses.  The suspect female is wearing a gray sweat jacket, green tee shirt, silver gym shorts, and flip-flops.
