Missing Person from Beech Mountain Found

March 26, 2017. Update: According to a statement from Beech Mountain Police Department, “Sky Porter was found this morning at about 8:15 am by a bystander who saw him in a parking area and recognized him from the news media and flyers. The bystander called 911 and Mr. Porter is now receiving medical attention.”


March 24, 2017. High Country Crime Stoppers and the Beech Mountain Police Department seek the public’s assistance in locating a missing person:

The Beech Mountain Police Department is asking for assistance in locating Sky Porter. Mr. Porter is a white male, about 6’4″ tall, 180 pounds, slim build. Mr. Porter was last seen on Monday, March 20 between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. on Beech Mountain. There is no clothing description or direction of travel. He is considered missing and endangered.
