The following information is provided courtesy of the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and the Boone Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Watauga Sheriff’s Department Report

Feb. 23

ARREST: Tyler Andrew Houser, 22, of 1369 Blevins Creek Rd. in Elk Park was charged with possessing and concealing weapons and drug violations (equipment/paraphernalia). He was held with a secured bond of $500 and is scheduled to appear April 30.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported from 336 Landfill Rd. in Boone.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: Calls for service were reported from 421 Oak Grove Rd. in Boone.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: Calls for service were reported from 158 One Love Ln. in Boone.

DRUG VIOLATIONS: Drug violations, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing/concealing weapons was reported from 4457 N.C. 105 in Boone.

Feb. 24

ARREST: James Ryan Wooten, 21, of 323 Green Turtle Rd. in Vilas, was charged with communicating threats and harassing phone calls.

ARREST: Christina Marie Fassanello, 20, of 788 Fallview Ln. in Boone was charged with drug violations (equipment/paraphernalia). She was released with a written promise to appear.

LARCENY: Larceny was reported from 146 Antelope Run in Boone.

COMMUNICATING THREATS: Communicating threats was reported from 233 Whitaker Dr. in Boone.

LARCENY: Larceny was reported from 4546 U.S. 421 N in Vilas.

LARCENY: Misdemeanor larceny was reported from 259 Pebble Ln. in Todd.

LARCENY: Larceny was reported from 938 River Ridge Rd. in Boone.

Feb 25

FRAUD: Fraud was reported from 132 Kinsale in Boone.

LARCENY: Larceny from buildings was reported from 292 Bluebird Ln. in Boone.

Feb. 26

ARREST: Danny Lee Osborne, 42, of 12323 U.S. 421 N. in Zionville was charged with possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances. He was held with a secured bond of $7,000 and is scheduled to appear April 30.

FRAUD: Fraud was reported from 201 Mountain Vista in Todd.

FRAUD: Fraud was reported from 175 Roaring Fork in Todd.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Domestic violence was reported from 134 Coffey St. in Boone.

Feb. 27

ARREST: Lori Ann Eckard, 49, of 287 Old Hartley Rd. in Banner Elk was charged with possession of marijuana. She was released with a written promise to appear April 30.

COMMUNICATING THREATS: Communicating threats was reported from 545 Phillips Branch Rd. in Vilas.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: Calls for service were reported from the 500 Block of West King St. in Boone.

Feb. 28

ARREST: William Brandon Homeier, 42, of 338 Brookhollow Rd. in Boone was charged with failure to appear for child support and fraud (worthless checks). He was charged $3,689 and is scheduled to appear March 20.

ARREST: Wayne Preston Trivette, 38, of 1766 Aho Rd. in Boone was charged with driving while license revoked and failure to pay child support. He was charged 3,321 and is scheduled to appear March 20.

ARREST: Don David Ellison, 73, of 129 Zeb St. in Boone was charged with habitual felon. He was held with a secured bond of $100,000 and is scheduled to appear April 20.

ARREST: Kyle Francis Crum, 20, of 4801 Legacy Ln. in Fayetteville was charged with failure to appear. He was held with a secured bond of $250 and is scheduled to appear April 15.

March 1

ARREST: Heather Lynn Boone, 26, of 324 Meadow Hill Dr. in Boone was charged with failure to pay child support. She was charged $208 and is scheduled to appear March 20.

ARREST: Rusty F. Hicks, 53, of 246 Dusty Rd. in Boone was charged with protection order violation. He is scheduled to appear April 28.

March 2

COMMUNICATING THREATS: Communicating threats was reported from 3737 Junaluska Rd. in Boone.

ARREST: Randall Dean McClure, 42, of 543 Philips Branch Rd. in Vilas was charged with communicating threats. He was released with a written promise to appear April 30.

 

 

 

 

Boone Police Department Report

Feb. 23

ARREST: David Lemont Braggs, 36, of 293 Hensels Ln. in Boone was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, revoked tag, simple possession of schedule III controlled substances and felony possession of schedule II controlled substances. He was held with a secured bond of $4,000 and is scheduled to appear April 28.

LARCENY: Larceny of auto parts and accessories was reported from Boone Ford located at 300 New Market Boulevard.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Disorderly conduct was reported from 300 Go Pioneers Dr.

Feb. 24

LARCENY: Larceny and identity theft were reported from 1800 Blowing Rock Rd.

INJURY TO REAL PROPERTY: Injury to real property and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer were reported from 259 Furman Rd.

Feb. 25

ARREST: David Anthony Hightower, 26, of 605 Rabbit Hollow Ln. in Mountain City, tenn. was charged with assault on a female. He was held with a secured bond of $750 and is scheduled to appear March 24.

LARCENY: Larceny of a firearm was reported from 1552 W. King St.

LARCENY: Larceny was reported from 200 Watauga Village Dr.

Feb. 26

ARREST: Cody Keith Stout, 25, of 338 Brookhollow Ln. in Boone was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer by providing fictitious information, assault on a female and intoxicated and disruptive. He was held with a secured bond of $3,300 and is scheduled to appear March 23.

LARCENY: Larceny (shoplifting) was reported from 1180 Blowing Rod Rd.

Feb. 27

ARREST: Stephen Tyler Schindler, 23, of 235 Meadow Hill Dr. in Boone was charged with possession of stolen property, larceny, larceny by defeating anti-theft device. He was held with a secured bond of $10,000 and is scheduled to appear April 28.

ARREST: Jeffrey Allen Evans, 33, of 2682 Eric Teague Lane in Icard was charged with drug violations, contempt of court, perjury and court violations. He was held with a secured bond of $1,500 and is scheduled to appear March 19.

ARREST: Jacob Tyler Gaddie, 22, of 235 Meadow Hill Dr. was charged with possession of stolen property, larceny, larceny by defeating anti-theft device. He was held with a secured bond of $10,000 and is scheduled to appear April 28.

ARREST: Jacob Thomas Goode, 22, of 2210 Joe Rd. in Statesville was charged with conspiracy to commit breaking and entering with the intent to commit larceny, safecracking, larceny after breaking and entering and breaking and entering. He was held with a secured bond of $15,000 and is scheduled to appear April 30.

ARREST: Savannah Bree Padgett, 22, of 2210 Joe Rd. in Statesville was charged with conspiracy to commit breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny, safecracking, larceny and breaking and entering. She was held with a secured bond of $15,000 and is scheduled to appear April 30.

ASSAULT: Assault was reported from 151 Howard St. Apt. 103.

FRAUD: Check fraud and larceny (shoplifting) were reported from 200 Watauga Village Dr.

ASSAULT: Simple physical assault and drug violations were reported from N.C. 105 Ext. and Blowing Rock Rd.

FORGERY: Forgery (using/uttering) and fraud (notary violation) was reported from Boone Ford located at 300 New Market Boulevard.

Feb. 28

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Breaking and entering, damage to real property, defacing a public building and larceny after breaking and entering were reported from 591 Horn in the West Dr.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Breaking and entering and criminal damage to property (vandalism) were reported from Bubbles Car Wash at 2890 N.C. 105.

LARCENY: Larceny was reported from LifeStore Bank at 1675 Blowing Rock Rd.

ASSAULT: Simple non-physical assault was reported from 151 Howard St.

VANDALISM: Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported from 240 Meadow Hill Dr.

March 1

ARREST: Nicholas Donald Mello, 21, of 8 Tiffany Ln. in Asheville was charged with intoxicated and disruptive. He was released with a written promise to appear March 1.

ARREST: Marshall Boyce Cromer, 19, of 151 Howard St. in Boone was charged with simple physical assault on a female. He was held with an unsecured bond of $2,000 and is scheduled to appear April 30.

ASSAULT: Simple assault was reported from CoBo Sushi Restaurant located at 161 Howard St.

LARCENY: Larceny was reported from 489 W. King St.

VANDALISM: Criminal damage to property (vandalism) was reported from 451 Yosef Dr.

ASSAULT: Aggravated assault was reported from Geno’s located at 1785 N.C. 105.
