Chetola Resort Hosts Book Signing with New York Times Bestselling Author Jan Karon; Tickets Are Limited

June 13, 2014. On Sept. 14, New York Times Bestselling Author Jan Karon will host a book signing at Chetola Resort for her newest book in the Mitford Series, “Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good.”

imgresCopies of the book will be available for purchase. The signing is free and includes light refreshments, but reservations for the signing are required due to space.

Space is limited to just 200 people, so reserve your spot now! To make reservations, call the Chetola Resort concierge Zak Linkins at 828-295-5509. Each ticket must be designated with a separate name as guests will be required to check in upon arrival.

After the first 200 reservations are made, additional names will be put on a wait list.

Jan Karon was born in Lenoir, and later moved to Blowing Rock to pursue a career as a writer after working in advertising for many years.

Karon is the famed author of The Mitford Years series which has earned an ABBY Honor Award. Aside from The Mitford Years series, she is also the author of The Father Tim Novels and various books for children including “Miss Fannie’s Hat,” “Jeremy: The Tale of an Honest Bunny,” “Violet Comes to Stay” and “Violet Goes to the Country” according to Penguin Publishing.

Her newest novel, “Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good,” is the latest in the Mitford series.
