Chatham County Line features band members Dave Wilson (guitar, harmonica, vocals), John Teer (Mandolin, Fiddle and vocals), Chandler Holt (banjo, guitar and vocals) and Greg Reading (Bass, pedal steel, piano and vocals). The Raleigh-based group’s sixth studio album, Tightrope, was born out of “a year’s worth of intense focus, during which the band examined their own legacy while carefully honing new materials.”
The bluegrass crooners first got together in 1999 in Raleigh, and since then have released seven albums. Recently, the band has toured Europe as well as the United States where they have headlined concerts and festivals. Their debut, self-titled album was first released in 2003, followed by consequent albums that reached the top of the bluegrass music charts. Their most recent album has reached No. 3 on the charts and the band has garnered an enduring following.
This show will be Chatham County Line’s only stop in Boone, and the quintet’s second to last show before they embark on their European TIghtrope Tour.
