Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Corporate and Continuing Education Department has announced several upcoming courses.
Quick-Finish Phlebotomy Class
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer a “Quick-Finish” Phlebotomy course this Fall for students who have successfully completed Nurse Aide 1 at CCC&TI since Sept. 30, 2014. The course is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson from Oct. 6 to Dec. 10. The registration fee is $184. Industrial Maintenance Tech Starts Sept. 14
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer an Industrial Maintenance Technology class from Sept. 14 to Dec. 17, with classes meeting Monday through Thursday. Students will receive training in basic welding, HVAC, basic DC/AC circuitry, industrial blueprint reading, hydraulics and pneumatics, mechanical operating systems, PLCs and safety training. The classes will be offered on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson. Tuition is $187, and grants are available to applicants who are unemployed or underemployed. For more information, call 828-726-2242.
Industrial Sewing Night Class
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer an Industrial Sewing class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Oct. 13 to Dec. 22 on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson. The program prepares students for sewing jobs in the furniture and textile industries. Tuition is $126, and grants are available to applicants who are unemployed or underemployed. Basic Law Enforcement Training

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer Intro to Bluegrass Guitar from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays from Sept. 14 to Oct. 19 on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson. Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer Intro to Audio Engineering Techniques from Sept. 14 to Oct. 26. The class will meet on Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson. This course is designed for students who want to start or perfect their live sound audio engineering techniques. The topics covered include basic overview of digital and analog equipment, mixing console, hardware, speakers and monitors, amplifiers, headphones, microphones (wired and wireless), compressors, equalization, mixing, effects and much more. The Corporate and Continuing Education Department at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer Intro to Home Studio Recording Techniques from Sept. 15 to Oct. 27. The topics covered include history of audio recording, basic overview of computer recording software (Pro Tools, Cubase, Cakewalk, etc.) and hardware, recording interface, speakers, amplifiers, headphones, microphones, equalization, mixing, effects, mastering and much more.
